The Florida Tax Credit (FTC) and Florida Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES) application process for the 2025–2026 school year opened on February 1, 2025 and closed on April 30, 2025. The application process involves: 

• Creating an Education Market Assistant (EMA) account: The primary guardian should create the account. 
• Adding students to the EMA account: Enter each student’s name, birthdate, and other required details. 
• Applying for the scholarship: Submit the application through the EMA portal. 
• Providing required documents: Submit parent and student social security numbers, the student’s birth certificate, proof of residency documents, and proof of income documentation. 
• Verifying identity: Select three security questions and corresponding answers. 
• Completing a two-step verification process: Use a multifactor authentication compatible phone number. 

After an application is submitted, it can take up to 60 days to process. The final determination is sent via email.
